Martian in Wonderville

Hello! My name is Mart, and I'm a big fan of the Bushwick bar Wonderville! I like it so much, in fact, that I had two romantic encounters there. That's a pretty good track record for me to be honest... I HATE BARS! However, here's the problem: Despite Wonderville's amazing atmosphere, unique charm, and wonderful range of things to do (like indie arcade games), I just couldn't seem to make those romantic encounters successful! Who would have thought, someone as cute as me having an unsuccessful date. But, as the saying goes, "the third times the charm." Put a pin in this idea!

This semester in the MFA VN program, my cohort and I took a class called "Visual Research" where we were tasked with studying a place we could feasibly get to a total of three times this semester. Study you say? Three times you say? I had a plan…

I was going to become the romantic master of Wonderville! My goal was to use this opportunity to research Wonderville on all things that make it a great date spot, and maximize my likelihood of having an extraordinary date there. Pretty smart, right? I surveyed the land by taking a most excellent array of photos, mapped out the funnest game/button ratio along with deciding the best date night menu items. I also interviewed folks who were (and weren’t) on dates to see what the scoop was when it came to reasons people thought up Wonderville for their romantic escape!

So,”When’s this perfect date?” I hear you asking!
